But I love strawberries and every time we go out for breakfast at this place near our house, I order their yogurt supreme which is a gigantic bowl of plain yogurt, honey and strawberry preserves. Roasted strawberries kind of look like the strawberry preserves. Obviously I have to make them.

There seem to be a thousand different ways to roast the strawberries - all varying in time and temperature - but here is what worked for me.
Roasted Honey Balsamic Strawberries
What You Need
1 cup strawberries, washed, hulled and quartered or halved (depending on size)
2 tsp honey
1 Tbsp sugar
About 1/2 tsp Balsamic vinegar
What You Do
1. Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
2. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the honey, sugar and vinegar
3. Add the strawberries and toss or stir to coat. Make sure they are evenly coated (and if not evenly, at least make sure they've all touched the honey mixture!)
4. Bake for 25 minutes, or until strawberries are soft
Try to let them cool to room temperature before eating or serving!

These are fantastic, and another layer to strawberries that I knew nothing about prior to trying out the recipe. I would suggest using them on top of yogurt or maybe with a bit of whipped cream. Yum.
I have neither of those things, so I just ate them as they are. Delicious.
